NASHVILLE, TENN.—(Oct.17, 2006)—Andrea Steele, Educator at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, has been selected by the Tennessee Art Education Association (TAEA) to receive the museum Educator of the Year Award. This award honors an outstanding TAEA member whose service and contribution to art education merits recognition and acclaim. “This award recognizes excellence in professional accomplishment and service by a dedicated art educator,” says TAEA President Flowerree Galetovich. “It exemplifies the highly qualified individuals active in the art education field today: leaders, teachers, students, scholars and advocates who give their best to the profession. We are proud to recognize Andrea Steele.”
